Former Soviet Union's Year in Israel

The Former Soviet Union runs an Israel program for Netzerniks (=TaMaRniks) - read all about it!

The FSU Machon program is the second year of a 3 year community worker program. Second year students spend 5.5 months in Israel. During this time, students enrich their knowledge of Hebrew, community work (theoretical and practical), history, tradition and religion. One of the principle elements of the Machon program is getting to know the country, having a real Israeli experience by living here and doing volunteer work. The Israeli element is essential in the training process of these future community workers, providing them with knowledge, experience and a connection to Israel.
